Greetings from 4RV Publishing,
We’re exciting about our upcoming releases, and we want to share the good news with you. We
have a children’s color-illustrated book and a sports/mystery middle-reader novel that will be
released the first of November.
At the Red Dirt Book Festival, Shawnee, Oklahoma, November 2 and 3, 4RV will have a booth in
the expo hall. Doc Gator will be there both days to sign his first children’s book Al-the-Gator and
Freddy Frog, finally out after unavoidable delays. The book is filled with colorful illustrations by
Valerie Broesch and Randy Zabel, which will delight young and old alike. Discussion questions will

Did you know that Doc Gator, aka E. Norbert Smith, studied alligators for 20 years? He did, and
he has written many articles and one book about his findings. Al-the-Gator and Freddy Frog is the
first children’s book that includes some of the information he discovered.
Also signing her second book about baseball and mystery, Case of the Missing Coach, V.Gilbert
Zabel will attend the Red Dirt Festival. Case of the Missing Coach continues the saga of the
Jonesville Chargers and the Base Stealers Club.
V. Gilbert Zabel played baseball when a child and helped coach a team with her husband when an
adult. She followed her sons’ baseball careers, keeping the score books for their teams until they
graduated from high school, a year apart. Once her youngest son’s sons started playing baseball,
she attended their games over the years. She takes her love and knowledge of baseball and
weaves them into her books.
4RV plans on releasing another children’s early-reader book before Christmas, titled Trockle by
Holly Jahangiri. Colored illustrations by Jordan M. Vinyard will hold everyone's attention.
Stephen is afraid of the monster under his bed, but what he doesn’t know is the monster has his
own fears.
