Welcoming a Miracle
When Lisa Willis' manuscript crossed the
4RV desk, the publisher fell in love with it. The
First Miracle brought a tear to her eye and a
smile to her heart. Everyone at 4RV Publishing
knew this was a book we had to publish. When
she read the text, artist Jordan Vinyard wanted
to illustrate the book and immediately started
looking for models to use for the characters.
Lisa is a working mother who finds
times to write between working a full time job,
loads of laundry, and caring for her family,
husband Clark and daughter Kyleigh.
When she's not writing, she is a nurse
at a local hospital, where she finds inspiration in
all the colorful and interesting characters she
meets from various walks of life; and that's just
the staff.
The First Miracle is Lisa's first book,
but the company feels it will not be her last.
Lisa and her family live in Oklahoma.
Her other household members are Edgar, the
cat, who likes to play fetch; a tropical fish
named Dragon, who likes to play dead; and a
leopard gecko named Spike, who doesn't do any
tricks at all.
